التوابلتوابل عطرية دافئة، مزجٌ بين النفاذ النباتي والحرارة المعتدلة، تذكر بالقهوة العربية والشاي المعطّر. تظهر في القمّة أو القلب لتمنح العطر بُعداً حارّاً غير مغلوظ. تتآلف مع الورد والعنبر والعود والأخشاب الجافة والحمضيات. حضورها في العطور الشرقية المعاصرة بارز، وتُستخدم لتلطيف العنبر الكثيف أو لمنح الورد بُعداً متوقّعاً. تصلح للأمسيات والشتاء، ولها وقعٌ راقٍ يصعب الخلط بينه وبين توابل الطبخ.
